Desiring to share her knowledge of natural hair care, in 2003, Ansylla taught a basic natural hair care class through the Maryland – National Capital Park and Planning Commission at the Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex during the spring, summer and fall sessions.

In October, 2003, My Hairitage Natural Hair & Wellness opened in Clinton, MD. Recognizing the demand for natural hair care professionals, Ansylla has offered Natural Hair and Advanced Loc Techniques workshops on a regular basis since August 2005. Several of the workshop participants have been empowered to start their own natural hair care businesses. Ansylla endeavors to share her knowledge about natural hair care and wellness, while encouraging persons to embrace ALL facets of their beauty.

Custom Loc Hairpieces
One example of our custom loc hair pieces is worn by our beauty contestant, Trician.  Trician had locs that were about 4 inches long.  For the pageant, we created a loc hair piece that gave her the elegant updo for the evening wear portion of the pageant. Notice how lovely she looks with this custom-made, natural looking loc hair piece created by My Hairitage.

The “LOC WEAVE”
This is a wonderful option for loc wearers with thinning or balding. The “LOC WEAVE” is applied without adhesives, natural-looking, lightweight and breathable.

ADVANCED LOC TECHNIQUES WORKSHOPS

Interlocs & Loc Basics: $200
This workshop will enable you to start, maintain and troubleshoot traditional (palm-rolled) locs and interlocs.  You will also be able to determine which technique is best for different hair types.

Loc Styling: $150
Learn HOT styling techniques for locs of all lengths and thickness.

Loc Extensions & Loc Repair: $350
Permanent loc extensions – Beautiful, natural looking locs at any length IN HOURS. Maintain like natural locs as hair grows. Must see to believe! Loc repair – You don’t have to cut damaged locs off and start over. Loc repair can save damaged and broken locs.

Loc Extensions: This is a wonderful option for persons who want to “short-cut” the loc’ing process.  Beautiful natural-looking locs of any length IN HOURS. Loc extensions can be added to loc’ed, natural or relaxed hair.  Maintain like natural locs as hair grows. You will certainly see an immediate return on your investment.

Loc Repair: Damaged or broken locs don’t have to be cut off.  They can be repaired undetectably.  Clients that you help with this service will truly appreciate you!

The LOC WEAVE (TM) : $500
Learn to create and attach natural-looking, custom loc hair pieces -  without adhesives – for loc wearers with thinning locs or baldness.

Optional Supply Kit: $85
Kinky hair mannequin head, mannequin base/holder, wide tooth comb, rat tail comb, duck bill clips, 2-prong clips. You can bring your own supplies if you prefer.

Ansylla’s natural hair journey began in 1997, when she transitioned to wearing and caring for natural hair. In October, 2000, Ansylla completed the Sisterlocks™ training course. However, it was not until December, 2001, after completing a Natural Hair & Braiding course did she begin working in a salon. In an effort to offer the best holistic hair care services, she also completed a certified herb specialist course and a School of Natural Health course.

Desiring to share her knowledge of natural hair care, in 2003, Ansylla taught a basic natural hair care class through the Maryland – National Capital Park and Planning Commission at the Wayne K. Curry Sports and Learning Complex during the spring, summer and fall sessions.

In October, 2003, My Hairitage Natural Hair & Wellness opened in Clinton, MD. Recognizing the demand for natural hair care professionals, Ansylla has offered Holistic Hair Care and Advanced Loc Techniques workshops on a regular basis since August 2005. Many of the workshop participants have been empowered to start their own natural hair care businesses. She regularly presents seminars and hands-on workshops at the World Natural Hair Health & Beauty Show (Atlanta, GA), Afro Hair & Beauty Live (UK) and other events across the US, in Canada, the UK and Paris.

In 2008, Ansylla began developing The LOC WEAVE™ to help loc wearers who experience thinning and baldness. This is one of her proudest accomplishments!
